New Year, Better Booty… Can I get an AMEN!?
There are 2 things, us ladies obsess about.. our core and our booties! Right!?
So I want to get you set up with an awesome booty workout, that can be done at home or the gym. I do a lot of my videos at home because it is very difficult to film at the gym, I go to now. But just because you see it done at home, doesn’t mean you can’t do it at the gym.
A lot of times, we go to the gym and think we need to stick to their fancy equipment but let me tell you why, it is time to mix it up!
Machines are important when trying to go super heavy or do an isolation movement but other than that, you really don’t need them. I have women request all the time, more gym videos, I need to know how to use all the machines and my reply is… you really don’t need those machines.
Machines, I do recommend using at the gym for booty, would be…
- Glute Press
- Single Leg (leg press)
- Hip adductor
Other than those exercises, you can do everything with dumbbells, barbells or cables.
And you may be asking, why should I use dumbbells, barbells or cables over machines?
Well, when you use dumbbells, barbells or cables, you actually burn more calories and use more muscles which leads too burning more fat and building more strength. This is because you are using more muscles to stabilize your body during exercise. Make sense?
Now some workouts, I recommend using bands, ankle weights, dumbbells or barbells…
- Kneeling Squat
- 3 Direction Kickbacks
- Bridge with Hip Adductor
- Reverse Lunge
- Single Leg Deadlift
These are perfect for shaping and toning the booty. I recommend doing 15 reps and 3 sets. You can end this workout with 20 minutes of interval cardio to burn some extra fat and blast that booty. I hope you enjoyed these workouts. Please let me know if you have any questions.
