Is it time for you to detox?

Detox is always a hot topic and truth is, we all need to detox for numerous reasons.

And you may be asking yourself, “Well, how do I know if I need a detox?”

Answer is… If you are struggling with mental clarity, energy and feeling bloated, I’d say it is time for you to do a detox and it doesn’t have to be anything crazy.

People hear detox and instantly think starving yourself for a week and that’s not what it’s about.

It is such a crazy misconception of what a detox really is…

We actually Detox, DAILY!

While we sleep because we aren’t eating and that allows our body to naturally detox.

If you want to take it a step further though… keep reading and I will give you the exact tools you need to do a deep detox and drop weight.

So first thing first. Intermittent fasting. I would start with a 16:8 fasting window. This allows for autophagy which will cause your body to clean out the damaged cells. This helps with mental clarity, bloating, aging, disease and weight loss.

I fast until about until about 11/12 in the afternoon then stop eating by 5/6 at night. This allows my body to detox and heal on a deeper level. When we constantly eat our body is focused on breaking down that food instead of helping our body heal and detox like it is meant to do! Crazy, right?

I used to be brainwashed and followed the “eat every 2-3 hour” rule. I was constantly bloated, sluggish, stressed about getting my meals in and couldn’t drop the last 10lbs… no matter how strict my eating was. I was miserable. Decently happy with my body but knew I had more potential…

After going to the GI doctor, the hormone doctor and doing a million test. No one could figure out what was wrong with me since everything came back normal. It forced me to really turn inward which happen to be the biggest blessing.

Am I eating too much? Am I too strict with my eating? Am I too stressed?

Trying to find the answer was exhausting… I did so much research and stumbled across intermittent fasting. As I read about it, I realized… when I was in the best shape of my life… I use to do that completely unknowingly! It just worked with my schedule.

I went back to doing IF and the results were amazing. I wasn’t even super strict about my eating windows, I was pretty flexible. Some days, I would start my morning with coffee and cream and end the night with a glass of wine. Then my results came to a halt again! I was so bummed but knew I could learn more and dial things in again so I did.

I learned that having that coffee and cream was breaking my fast then the nights, I had wine… I was breaking my fast so I was taking myself out of fat burning mode and screwing up my fasting. That week, I committed to not drinking coffee and cream or wine. I stuck to 3 solid meals made with food that I knew my body thrived on throughout the day and my results were back on track! My cravings were gone, the bloat was gone, I had more energy and I was loving my body more than ever before.

I ended up going down the rabbit hole with fasting. Wanting to know everything about it and continued to mess with my eating windows. It has been one of the best things, I’ve switched back to and I even got majority of my clients doing it and they love it. It’s not as hard as we think and once you know all the benefits that come with fasting, it makes it easy to stick to.

You can ease into it by starting your eating window at 10am and ending at 7pm then start dialing in your windows and play with them as you’d like.
