I’m Tana Ashlee and I have been on my health and fitness journey for 17 years now! 

Today, I am a strong, lean, healthy, happy, energetic and confident woman but I wasn’t always that way.

Just a few years back, I was fluffy, depressed and miserable to say the least.

I was struggling with an extra 40lbs. Nothing seem to work.

I jumped from insane diet to insane diet, endless hours in the gym, I was praying to lose the weight for good but somehow… it always found me again.

It wasn’t until I had a breakthrough moment. I realized all these insane diets and wasted hours in the gym were only back firing  and it was time to bio hack my body and figure out WTF was going on…

Through the process, I realized some very popular Myths about the weight loss journey so today, I want to share them so you can get back on track once and for all!

Myth #1: carbs will make you fat.

This is complete BS. We need carbs in order to function and overall health. Now, if you are eating a carb or any food for that matter that doesn’t breakdown probably in your body then yes, you will start to feel tired, bloated, sluggish and possibly gain weight from it.

Myth #2: restrictive dieting is the only way to get results.

The truth is every diet works! But will it work for you long term? If the answer is no then don’t do it (unless you plan to only do it short term)

This was what kept getting me stuck in the cycle of constantly starting over, binge eating and yo-yo dieting. If you want to drop weight and KEEP it off. You have to find something that goes with your lifestyle!

Myth #3: focus on cardio to drop the fat first then lift to tone…

This is just awful. I hate seeing women get caught up on this because it takes longer, you become more flabby and let’s be honest… tons of cardio just flat out sucks. Right?

Find a healthy balance between weights and cardio so you can see results faster, stick to healthy habits and make sure you build a sexy, lean body!
