Why women get belly fat

A topic, we all love… BELLY FAT!

I use to struggle with it so I understand how embarrassing it can be. It hold us back from a lot of stuff because it messes with our confidence.

Why do we get belly fat to begin with?

  1. Hormone imbalance
  2. Restrictive diet
  3. Too much alcohol

These all play hand in hand with each other.  Majority of the time when we want to drop weight, we will go into just starve myself mode or cut out all the carbs mode and the issue with this is you want fueling your body properly and it throws everything out of wack.

You may end up dropping a few pounds but they will come back to find you and they may bring a few extra friends. Dropping and gaining weight takes a toll on the metabolism so that is why it is so important to find something you can do longer term. Yo-yo dieting is super unhealthy and a major reason why women experience a hormone imbalance leading to more belly fat.

Now the fun part…for my fellow winos, you can still have your wine but find a good balance. Drinking daily isn’t good and we all know that. So what I recommend is picking 2 nights a week that you will have a few drinks and be done. Stay on top of your water to flush your system and be careful on what you eat after drinking. Your body will be focused on breaking down the toxic in your body and food will be more easily stored as fat.
