How do you know if you need a detox?

When people think detox, they believe they have to starve, fast and live miserably so they never actually try a good detox for over a few days. haha

I’ve been there so I get it…

I want to take a minute and talk to you about how do you know if you should detox?

So here are some signs…

  • fatigue
  • sluggish
  • bloated
  • constipated
  • belly fat
  • skin problems
  • food cravings
  • mood swings
  • dark circles under eyes

When I feel fatigue, bloated and break out, I know it’s my body crying for a detox. As I learned more about how to properly detox, I realized it has to be done through proper foods.

There is no magic pill, juice or tea. It’s a combination of proper foods.

Making sure that the foods you eat, cleanses liver, inflammation, aids in weight loss, healthier skin and extra brain boost is a proper detox.

A lot of times we are dealing with bloating due to inflammation and that even makes it harder to drop fat. Not fun when you are putting in the hard work at the gym.

That is why I am huge on doing a detox. Especially, around the Holidays.

Around the Holidays, we are so filled up on junk food that it makes all these issues 10 times worse which leads to less motivation and more weight gain.

That is why after Thanksgiving, I do a 21 day detox. It gives me time to actually refuel my body with the proper food it needs before falling off the deep end for a week again. haha 

I started doing this detox after being miserable for years around the Holidays. I hated them because I was so focused on my fitness goals, I couldn’t sit down and enjoy anything.
