Having trouble finding the confidence to go to the gym!? I find a lot of women telling me they are too insecure to work out at a gym, I totally get it but this is something we need to overcome! Yes, gyms can be scary with all the machines and people, but that shouldn’t stop us from achieving our fitness goals!
I feel we are all scared of being judged while we are there. But no one should be judging you for going to the gym and if they do, they are a douchebag and their opinions aren’t important. A lot of times people are so in the zone and focused on their workout, that they don’t even notice you.
I wanted to share some tips that helped me feel more confident in the gym.
- Find A Gym Buddy: This will help you feel a bit more secure to have a friend by your side.
- Get Cute Gym Clothes: Getting clothes you feel confident in, will most likely make you want to go to the gym.
- Get A Workout Plan: This way you will know what you are doing before you get to the gym and will be so focused on your workout that you will forget about being insecure.
A lot of times we feel insecure because we are dressed down, alone and have no idea what we are doing in the gym so we walk around aimlessly and usually don’t get that great of a workout. That’s why I recommend finding a gym buddy, getting cute gym clothes and a plan before you walk through the door.Always remember we are all at the gym to ourselves so we should be focused on ourselves and not others while we are there. Fitness is about positivity and love so don’t be scared to give the gym a go!
