Have you tried intermittent fasting and ended up gaining fat?
It actually happens more often than you’d think and here’s why..
- You may be fasting too much! Yes… that’s a thing. You only want to do fasting a few days a week like 4/5 days a week. Me for example: Monday- Thursday I eat at 12,3 and 6 then Friday I eat at 12,3 and sometimes 7 or 8 and Saturday-Sunday I eat at 8,11,5 so that way my body doesn’t get use to fasting too much. I recommend doing the same.
- Too much fat/carb intake. Your first meal while breaking a fast should be more protein and complex carb. A great meal to break a fast with would be eggs and rice cakes. You can do a little fat but don’t overdo it. Some people get crazy and end up storing more fat because their meal combo.
- Not lifting enough. A lot of times people overdo cardio when they want to drop weight which is actually no good for a number of reasons. Cardio won’t sculpt your body and it can burn out your metabolism. When you have more lean muscle mass you will burn more fat and lean muscle mass is built through weight training so as always… find a healthy balance between both.
