Anytime someone comments, “I want to work this problem area.”
There is always someone who has to jump the gun and tell them, “you can’t do that.”
Truth be told… YES, THEY CAN!
If someone has a problem area, they can give it a little more TLC. It won’t hurt them so let them do their thing.
When you work a certain area, you cause a thermogenic affect and cause more blood flow to go to that area so it does burn a little bit more fat than areas that aren’t worked in the meantime but with that being said…
You should always work full body.
The more you do full body the more fat you lose all over which will help those stubborn areas.
For example, my arms use to be my major problem area.
I use to work them 2 times a week, lifted heavier, ate a little cleaner and still no results.
Once, I started training them 3-4 times a week, they finally had some change. At the end of every workout, I would do some isolation exercises to focus on my “problems area” so me giving them a little more TLC definitely helped.
What I believe most people mean when they say you can’t spot reduce is, don’t just focus on that area every time you workout because the progress will be turtle like compared to training full body with a little extra focus on a problem area. Make sense?

and if you really want to kick up the results, I do recommend fasting. If you need some guidelines there then check out my blog here.
